[It's bright and early in the morning when Vanellope can be seen in the playground outside the school. First period is Writing and there's homework and she forgot, so she's trying to finish hers before the school bell rings. Clearly this means it's okay to be scribbling it down in the journal - she doesn't have any thing else with her, and she can always tear the page out later on!]

[... Yeah. Anyway, feel free to run into her in the school yard or even respond via voice/written! Just remember, she's gotta make it to first period, so you might not even get replies til lunch or something. ]

What the heck're they teaching you in that school?

Writing stuff! I'm pretty good at it already, which is good 'cause I forgot we had homework. So this was easy!

Easy? Is this... This the kind stuff you're supposed to be writing about?

You're right. It's quite disgusting.

As you can see, aging causes advanced stages of brain damage. Though it's not really the aging itself, it's the successive layers of head trauma.

[Oh thank god, he wasn't the only who thought something was really weird during the last shift--though, it's not the kissing that bothers him, it's...the more affectionate kind of kissing humans are apparently fond of.]

Ugh, and I thought humans couldn't get even more weirder or disgusting... [Swapping spit or sucking face is just gross what the hell can't you people just kiss like normal people should...]

["What Grown-Ups Do When They Like Each Other" is currently a topic of interest to Donatello, so when he sees this essay in the journal he starts reading it... and then can't stop. Along the way he makes a series of choking noises, ending in a disbelieving:]

Who's going to have a baby..?

Oh, we were just supposed to write about something we learned here in Luceti! And that's what happened last month. [Yep.]

Oh. [She tilts her head at the camera.] Man, that must suck. Does your brain hurt, Lord Crankypants? From all the damage and trauma and stuff.

Hey, humans aren't weird! They're just weird when they like-like someone. Otherwise they're pretty OK.

[She's paused, wondering if she should add any more to that essay. So when she answers, it's kinda distracted.]

What, what?

Dunno! But there was a whole lotta kissing happening last month, so maybe we'll get some new babies soon! [Nine year old logic, go.]

[Crud, journal, why are you on.]

What are you writing?

Oh. Homework! For Professor Sage.

Since when does Professor Sage assign homework like that?!

Dunno! Haven't been going to school long enough and Professor's supposed to have been here forever now.

[Anyway, she frowns.] What's wrong with it? I think it's pretty good!

[Maybe he had better ask -] - How old are you?

I'm nine. [Well, she's programmed to be nine years old, anyway.] How old are you?

Nineteen. [So close to not being a teenager.] Listen, um... I think you're confused on a few points.

[Huh. Is this turtle telling her what to do?]

Well... [How to explain.] Grown-ups like the things they do together, but they usually don't make babies from it.

But those stuff's what makes babies. [Her voice is pretty self-assured there.]

[Tao peers into the video feed, confused. At least she could understand what was being written...whether she understood the subject matter was another issue entirely.]
