[It's bright and early in the morning when Vanellope can be seen in the playground outside the school. First period is Writing and there's homework and she forgot, so she's trying to finish hers before the school bell rings. Clearly this means it's okay to be scribbling it down in the journal - she doesn't have any thing else with her, and she can always tear the page out later on!]

[... Yeah. Anyway, feel free to run into her in the school yard or even respond via voice/written! Just remember, she's gotta make it to first period, so you might not even get replies til lunch or something. ]

[Oh thank god, he wasn't the only who thought something was really weird during the last shift--though, it's not the kissing that bothers him, it's...the more affectionate kind of kissing humans are apparently fond of.]

Ugh, and I thought humans couldn't get even more weirder or disgusting... [Swapping spit or sucking face is just gross what the hell can't you people just kiss like normal people should...]

Hey, humans aren't weird! They're just weird when they like-like someone. Otherwise they're pretty OK.

[a slight pause, before he notes something else--] Wait, why would there "be a lotta babies in Luceti soon"?

Because, genius, when grown-ups kiss a lot, that means there's gonna be a baby soon! Doi.

[...Kissing makes you pregnant???]

Oh, it's just homework. Professor Sage said we gotta practice writing. But I'm really good at it, see?

Yeah...but isn't "homework" usually boring or dumb most of the time?

I guess, but why did you have to write about "what grown-ups do" for homework?

'Cause it was the easiest. We were supposed ta write about somethin' we learned here in Luceti, and that's what I remembered first!

Oh. [That makes sense, he thinks. Weird as it was, it was the most interesting thing to happen recently. He glances over Vanellope's writing again--hey, wait a second.]

"Boys do weird things when they like someone"? What weird things?

I dunno. I'm just puttin' what Sheena told me! She didn't really say what kinda weird things they did.

Well how do you know that this Sheena person was even right about something like that?

[Do we look like the kind of boy who does weird things...you know what don't answer that.]

'Cause Sheena's cool. She's ninja, and she knows a lot. [And that is totally enough for her, okay.]

What does being a ninja have to do with "knowing a lot of stuff"?

Not much, I guess. But it makes her really cool. Anyway, she just knows a lot!
